Our descriptions of current conditions about tours and summits do not infer conclusions about the actual situation. Pictures and descriptions provide only a general impression based on the subjective observation of the hut warden team. Conditions can change rapidly due to weather and climate. It is inevitable to use other sources like webcams, weather forecasts and avalanche bulletins. Mountaineers are not discharged by our website of their own judgement and responsibility to evaluate the current conditions on site and to adapt this information to their own ability. In order to fulfill personal expectations and a well organized mountain experience we strongly recommend a certified mountain guide to plan your tour.
Reservations and Annulations
Things don’t always go according to plan in a high-alpine environment. We understand that you might be forced to postpone, delay or cancel your visit.
Nonetheless, it is the guest’s responsibility to inform the hut of any delays, cancellations or tour changes in a timely manner.
Both written and verbal reservations are binding. A reservation is not regarded as binding until it has been confirmed by the hut. The General Terms & Conditions come into effect upon the confirmation of the reservation.
Cancellations and reservation changes (e.g. in group size) must be submitted at the latest on the evening before the booked overnight stay.
ALL RESERVATION CHANGES MUST BE MADE BY TELEPHONE!
Payment could be due in the case of late reservation changes, late cancellations and no-shows.
Obligation of Identification
Member rates are available only on presentation of a valid ID in accordance with the current Reciprocity List (see: Swiss Alpine Club SAC Guidelines, Article 4).
Special/preferential rates are subject to a relevant and valid form of legitimation (e.g. SAC tour guides, children and youths, SAC hut pass etc.)
Free overnight stays for mountain guides and trainee mountain guides are only available upon presentation of a valid IVBV identity card. (See: Swiss Alpine Club SAC Hut Regulations, Article 5.6.5).
Prices and Payements
All prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and include statutory value-added tax (VAT).
Prices remain subject to change.
The hut has the right to demand a deposit.
