The hut:

The hut was extended and renovated in the years 2004/2005by the Swiss Alpine Club, section Kaiseregg and Wildhorn. Great care was taken to preserve the original building dating back to 1927.

This, most highly situated club hut in the western Bernese Alps, is surrounded by a mountain landscape of astounding beauty. It is famous with alpine hikers as well as cross country skiers. Also it is used as an overnight stop on the high alpine ski route Les Diablerets-Gemmi-Grimsel.

Summer Season:

-End of June to mid-October

Winter Season:

-The weeks between Christmas and New Year (Only if there are reservations however and good Weather and Snow condition)

-From the end of February to 28 th of April.

Also during the season, you are kindly requested to contact the guardian if you whish to stay over-night at the Wildstrubel Hut.

Coming here, enjoy our rich breakfast buffet. We serve home-made jam, bred and a variety of local cheeses. Also we will serve traditional Swiss Müsli.

During the day we will be happy to serve you our A-la-Carte specialties: Enjoy real Swiss Rösti, a plate of local cheese with home-made bred or a traditional Fondue. Also there is a choice of freshly backed cakes and pies.

For Supper, we will serve you a traditional three course surprise meal. You will of course find suitable and reasonably priced drinks on our menu. Enjoy also our Wine specialities from the Wallis.
